    I've had my unit 3 years and just bit the bullet and bought the upgrade. Has anybody had to use the extended warranty program? I think I have a solder joint going bad in the serial port on my 708. Just looking for good or bad experiences.

    Your problem is most likely the cable, I have replaced a bunch of them for my friends,
    about the warranty program I have no idea. Hopefully you won't need it and is just the
    cable, is been sold for around 30 dollars but if you know some with a 708 that can
    borrow one to test before byiung one even better. Good luck.

     I'll look into the cable. Have you replaced the Autel cable with something else or did you stay with Autel for replacement parts? Thanks.

     bought then on ebay and worked fine. hopefully is your problem the cable bents right by the scanner there is were it brakes and cause the issue,

     We provide one year warranty for most products except for some goods with special agreement that has two years warranty. Hope your machine works again with a new cable. And most accessories can be bought seperately if you can replace them yourself.
